SCR-296 Site
Castle Bluff, Long Island, HD Kodiak
Home  |  Kodiak

Located on a small hill near the Castle Bluffs housing area, the SCR-296 fire control radar site included a metal frame transmitter building, two power houses and a 75-foot steel tower. Observations made by this radar were used by both Battery Const. #296 and Battery Tactical #4.

Due to heavy rain some photos are rather poor.
