Power Plant
Battery Const. #298,
Fort Learnard, HD Dutch Harbor
Home  |  Dutch Harbor  |  Btry 298 main

The power plant consists of the power room, the water cooler room and the muffler gallery. The power room housed three 125 KVA diesel generators and associated equipment. The water cooler room held the radiators used to cool the generators. The muffler gallery contained exhaust pipes and mufflers for the power room equipment. The muffler gallery at Battery Const #298 also seems to have doubled as a store room.

The door from the power room to the water cooler room is now sealed, leaving the vent opening from the corridor as the only way in.
