The plotting complex served a number of different functions, included in it are: a plotting room, spotting room, switchboard room, latrine, (anti-)Chemical Warfare Service, or CWS, room, an airlock, and a small electrical storage battery room.

Of particular interest are the latrine fixtures, the battery room storage racks and some telephone equipment in the switchboard room.

The plotting area has been significantly altered by later occupation, and it can be difficult to differentiate original fittings from newer modifications.
