Hill 400, HD Dutch Harbor

The Battery Command station and primary base end and spotting station for Battery Tactical #2 were housed in a three room concrete structure at the top of Hill 400. The stations were accessed via a ladder running through the BC station on the upper level into a general purpose room directly below the BC, from there a half-flight of stairs leads up to the forward observation station, B'2 S'2.

At first glance one might assume that significant erosion has taken place, leaving the station exposed. However, Army documents indicate that the station was disguised as part of an adjoining water tank rather than with the usual earthen concealment.
