HD Radio Station
Fort Bulkley, HD Seward
Home  |  Seward

The Harbor Defense Radio Station is a small concrete structure located about 375 feet west of the HDCP. Army documents report that the station was complete with the exception of backfilling. However, stacks of acoustic tiles left in the station may indicate that the interior fittings were not finished before abandonment.

The state of preservation at the radio station is remarkable, including wooden furnishings and even a pair of game boards, seemingly untouched since the facility was abandoned in 1944.
