At Burt Point the Coast Artillery installed a two-story concrete structure housing a pair of observation stations. The B 2/5 S 2/5 station served Battery Const. #296 and was located on the upper level, while B 2/4 S 2/4 (serving Battery Tactical #4) used the lower, forward observation room. A third multipurpose room occupied the lowest level, directly under B 2/5.
